Booking Policies

1. Who Can Book

Booking services are available to individuals aged 18 and older. For events involving minors, a parent or legal guardian must be the primary point of contact and sign-off on all agreements.

2. Inquiries and Confirmations

All bookings begin with an inquiry via our website or email. A booking is only considered confirmed once the booking fee/deposit has been received and you have been issued a confirmation receipt.

3. Minimum Lead Times

For simple stuffed balloons, we require at least 48 hours notice. For standard décor and installations, a minimum of 2 weeks is recommended to ensure material availability.

4. Rush Bookings

Bookings made with less than 72 hours notice for décor may be subject to a rush fee starting at $100 CAD, depending on the complexity of the request.

5. Deposits and Payment Timelines

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date. The remaining balance is due at least 5 days prior to the event.
For stuffed balloons, full payment is required upfront.
All prices are in CAD.

6. Client-Initiated Changes or Cancellations

Changes to design must be made 7 days in advance.
Cancellations made more than 5 days before the event will forfeit the deposit.
Cancellations within 5 days are non-refundable.

7. Cancellations by Stuffel Balloons

In the rare event we must cancel due to illness or emergency, a full refund including the deposit will be issued, or we will work to find a substitute artist at no extra cost.

8. Weather and Outdoor Events

Balloons are sensitive to heat and wind. We do not guarantee outdoor installations against weather damage. Clients are advised to have an indoor backup plan for inclement weather.

9. Access, Setup, and Takedown

Clients must ensure a 2-3 hour setup window and clear access to the venue.
Takedown is the client's responsibility unless a professional removal service is booked as an add-on.

10. Wait Time Fees

If setup is delayed due to limited venue access, a wait time fee of $50 CAD per half-hour will be charge to the client.

11. Delivery and Travel Fees

Delivery within 25 km of Stuffel Balloons in Ottawa and surrounding area is included in service fee.
For areas outside of the perimeter, a travel fee based on mileage ($0.65/km) will be calculated during the inquiry phase.

12. Safety, Allergies, and Care

Latex balloons are a choking hazard for children under 8, supervision is the client responsibility. Clients must inform us of any latex allergies. Keep balloons away from sharp objects and direct heat to maximize display life.

13. Absent Client/No-Show

If no one is available to receive a delivery at the scheduled time, the balloons will be returned to our studio for pickup. Redelivery will incur an additional fee.

14. Photo and Social Media Use

We reserve the right to photograph our work for promotional use on social media and our website. No identifiable personal information of guests will be shared without consent.

15. Terms & Conditions Interaction

These Booking Policies supplement our main Terms & Conditions. In the event of a conflict, these policies take precedence for specific booking and event logistics.
